In only a few days, NASA is launching Artemis I. It will travel 40,000 miles beyond the Moon and back, paving the way to sending humans to lunar orbit on the second flight test, Artemis II. To celebrate and build the hype, NASA wants you to share the best Moon photos that you’ve taken. In fact, you can share anything Moon-related, but to stay in our field, let’s stick with photos and how you can show them off to NASA....
It’s been a sad tale over the last few years for Photokina. After their last great show in 2016, it was announced in 2017 that Photokina would be shrinking in size and duration and shifting over to an annual schedule from 2018 and a new month from 2019. Well, they still had their show in 2018, but then 2019’s show didn’t happen, and neither did 2020’s (for obvious reasons), ultimately resulting in Photokina calling it quits and deciding to end the show for good....
Nikon has prepared their existing (and perhaps future) users for the development of a new mirrorless camera. However, it seems they’ve decided to kill the old ones completely. Judging from the post on digitalkamera.de, Nikon will no longer be producing subsequent models to their remaining mirrorless cameras from the “1” line. The post on their page is German, but when translated, it reads this: As I mentioned, Nikon has announced that they plan to develop a new mirrorless camera, as well as to focus on high-end DSLRs....
When Fujifilm announced they were discontinuing FP-100C peel-apart instant film, a lot of people were understandably a little saddened by the news. It ended with a claim of reduced sales, forcing the termination of production. But while it may not be Fujifilm that’s doing it, peel-apart instant film is coming back, thanks to ONE INSTANT. ONE INSTANT is currently being supported through Kickstarter, and it’s a little over halfway past its goal with 28 days still to go....
