Photographer Jessica Whitaker suggests that texting your clients can be not only unprofessional but also far less efficient than emails. British Ecological Society has published the 2022 winners of its annual photo contest, Capturing Ecology. And like every year, the selected images feature different subjects and convey different emotions: from the thrilling chase of a hungry leopard, to the blissful calm of a bird floating on water. This year’s overall winner is a portrait of a Helena’s tree frog and its glowing golden eyes of piercing through the darkness. All Nikon users out there, we may have something to look forward to in 2017. A Swedish photographer Tomas Jönsson recently shared a photo he took with a Nikon camera in 2015. According to the description and comments, it’s something Nikon will treat us with next year: a new full frame camera with amazing low light capabilities. Jönsson claims he took the photo of the forest in the middle of the night in December 2015....
Ok, so round one of the Nikon full frame mirrorless rumours ends. It’s now time for round two to begin, as Nikon officially announces the development of a new Nikon full frame mirrorless camera. Did you spot what I said there? “Camera” not “cameras”. This doesn’t discount the possibility of a second rumoured camera, or even an APS-C mirrorless, but they’re only officially confirming one body for now – and they haven’t said whether it’s the rumoured 24-25MP or 48MP camera....
I’ve been fascinated with the idea of incorporating the moon into photos whenever possible. And so, with the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11’s moon landing on July 20th, I was excited by the possibility to shoot something special for the occasion: Putting a man on the moon. The man here is Ty Johnson, a paramotor pilot, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. As NASA will tell you, getting a man to the moon is harder than it looks....
