It has no name, right now, other than “8K Video Camera”, but this 8K Micro Four Thirds camera from electronics giant Sharp is currently on display in prototype form at CES 2019. Apparently, though, they plan to bring Animal Eye AF to their cameras. Ok, so it’s not just to help bring a better class of cat photo to Facebook, but to assist wildlife photographers. It makes a bit of sense after their recent release of the Sony 400mm f/2....

Advertisements Michael’s “weapon of choice” was Motorola’s new model, Moto-Z. Michael paired it with Hasselblad True Zoom Moto Mod attachment to achieve the best results. The attachment provides Moto-Z with a 12MP 1/2.3″ BSI CMOS sensor with sensitivity up to ISO 3200. It has 10x optical zoom (a 35mm equivalent focal length of 25-250mm), and an f/3.5-6.5 aperture. As for the light setup, Michael started with the available light, and the slowly built in continuous light to increase the overall quality of the images....

Lithium based batteries power a lot of stuff these days. Phones, cameras, laptops, and even vehicles. There’s a lot of “best practise” advice out there when dealing with Li-Ion and Li-Po batteries, but it’s not common knowledge. Most consumers don’t know how to look after their batteries. Or that there even are suggested ways to use, store and charge batteries. They just assume technology will take care of it all for them....
