Zeiss Unveils Three New Full Frame Milvus Lenses For Nikon And Canon

Long known throughout the world for quality, Zeiss are the first name many think of when it comes to luxury lenses. Today, Zeiss have announced three new lenses; 15mm f/2.8, 18mm f/2.8 and 135mm f/2 for both Nikon and Canon. These lenses are part of Zeiss’s Milvus line, designed to “fulfill the requirements of today’s powerful digital cameras and those of the future thanks to their high imaging performance”. As with the other members of the Milvus family, the three new lenses contain what Zeiss calls “harmonious bokeh”....

Zhiyun Announce New Crane Plus 3 Axis Gimbal And Tease Mechanical Follow Focus Unit

Zhiyun have officially announced the new Zhiyun Crane Plus motorised 3-axis gimbal for mirrorless and DSLR cameras. Technically, this should be called the Crane V3 as it’s being billed as a replacement for the Zhiyun Crane V2, not to be confused with the Crane 2 (review here). Perhaps the new name is to help prevent more confusion going forward. Anyway, with an increased load and several new features, it’s a nice little upgrade over the V2 for virtually the same price that the V2 would’ve cost you a couple of weeks ago....

Zhiyun Teases A New Compact Lightweight Gimbal For Full Frame Mirrorless Cameras

Hot on the heels of the Zhiyun Crane M2, Zhiyun is teasing another new gimbal. The Gimbal S, designed for full-frame mirrorless cameras. As well as the video above, there’s a teaser page on the Zhiyun website where they say they say they “push the limit” on compatibility, listing such cameras as the Sony A7III, Canon EOS R, Nikon Z6 and Panasonic S1. The new Gimbal S seems to be something of an alternative to the Weebill LAB, which the teaser page specifically mentions, although with the more traditional gimbal form factor....

A Buzzing Ball Of Bees Wins 2022 Wildlife Photographer Of The Year

Photographer Karine Aigner has won the Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2022. Her image shows a buzzing ball of cactus bees spinning over the hot sand on a Texas ranch. Taken at the bee level, it depicts the behavior of these creatures, but also reminds us of how important it is to protect them. Wildlife Photographer of the Year is developed and produced by the Natural History Museum, London. It’s now in its fifty-eight-year, and Karine is only the fifth woman to be awarded the Grand Title award....
