We knew it wouldn’t be long before Canon finally started switching their cinema cameras over to the RF mount and they’ve finally done it. Today, Canon has announced the new Canon EOS C70 Super 35mm cinema camera. They say it’s in a “mirrorless-style body” although it actually looks a lot more like a big ol’ chunky DSLR than it does a little mirrorless camera. It’s a pretty hefty little beast that offers Dual Gain Output (DGO) claiming an impressive 16+ stops of high dynamic range....

Shortly after IBC last year, an unknown China-based lens company called Dulens appeared, announcing a new 85mm f/2.0 lens. It’s a full-frame lens for DSLRs and they say it was designed by the same optical engineers behind the Kinefinity Mavo Prime range of cinema lenses. News Shooter got their hands on one to have a play with a couple of months, and it’s been listed as available in China since then....

It seems that the Nikon Z7, announced in August 2018 and released the following month during Photokina, is being retired. Despite the Nikon Z7 II being released two years later, Nikon Z7 production and sales still continued. Now, though, the Nikon Japan website lists the original Nikon Z7 as an “old product”. Or, in other words, “discontinued. We all knew it was coming at some point, and, well, it’s been four years now....
