I like experimenting with different setups, especially for wide angle close-ups. Last year, I took my wife’s Sony A7 for a couple of field trips and paired it with the Voigtländer Super Wide-Heliar 15mm f/4.5 with extension tubes for some wide angle macro photography, and the results were pretty cool! Compared to my usual DSLR setup, the lens was much smaller, allowing me to approach subjects from more compelling angles....

Adobe has posted a short but to the point blog post stating that many older versions of Creative Cloud applications will be removed, limiting availability to only the two most recent major versions of each (except for Acrobat – which will only allow the latest version) and their minor updates. This is an attempt, Adobe says, to help keep users updated with the latest features as well as ensure critical bug fixes and security updates are applied....

Recently, I set up a new page for my travel/motorbike adventures, I was trying something different until someone told me I was using Instagram wrong. It worked for a while! For many years, I have been a portrait photographer and either the square or portrait crop worked ace for me. Then, I moved to Ireland and really got stuck in my landscape and travel photography. The crops that IG offered, just like my portrait stuff worked perfectly fine for most of the images I make, such as my abandoned houses project....

2020 finally seems to be coming to an end! And let’s be honest here – This hasn’t exactly been the coolest year in recent history. Autel Robotics USA has won a pretty major victory over competing drone manufacturer DJI. The suit claimed that many of DJI’s consumer drones have been imported into the US and sold while infringing on Autel’s US Patent No. 9, 260,184. The international law firm, Steptoe, secured the win on March 2nd. According to the infringement suit, DJI violated Section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, which essentially makes illegal any imports found to be infringing on a US Patent, and other unfair methods of competition....
