Your style just develops over time based on what you like. But posing, directing a subject, getting the expressions that you want. Is art in itself. Not on the heels of NiSi, SLR Magic have now announced their new cinema lenses at NAB 2018. The SLR Magic MicroPrime CINE E-Mount lenses are designed for full frame Sony mirrorless cameras. Four lenses kick off the new series at 25mm, 35mm, 50mm and 75mm focal lengths, and they’re currently on display at NAB. Both Sony and OM Digital have scheduled events for late October, suggesting that recently rumoured Sony A7R V and OM Digital OM-5 camera bodies are expected to be announced very soon. Sony has released a new Version 2.00 firmware update for the Sony FX3 mirrorless cinema camera. The new update adds some of Sony’s professional cinema line features into the camera, including additional LOG shooting modes, the ability to import your own LUTs as well as timecode sync for when you’re shooting multiple cameras. The new LOG shooting modes with LUT monitoring, Sony says, “create a smoother post production workflow by enabling Cine El, Cine El Quick and Flexible ISO modes for recording with the S-Log3 gamma curve”, letting you get a more useful preview of your shot while maximising the dynamic range of the recording itself....
